This week’s WIBLW features my mini clothing haul of one of the most highly requested brands to review here, a non-coffee caffeine alternative, and personal entertainment at the expense of my dog.
Reformation Augustina Dress – Putting my money where my mouth is and trying to bring you guys more sustainable clothing options! Picked this dress up because 1) It’s adorable, and 2) Reformation has been climate neutral since 2015. Downside, it’s $218, which is on the high end of what I would typically pay for a dress. Will share more about Reformation in an upcoming outfit post!
Reformation Alain Top – Everything above about Reformation. But also, I need a new white top because I literally never buy them out of fear I’m going to stain them. This one is perfectly drapey and gorgeous and a lovely material. Would look equally at home paired with a pencil skirt for work, or with jeans and sneakers for weekend.
Proper Wild Energy Shots (Peach Mango flavor) – I was initially sent this to try and actually liked it enough to repurchase! While I’d rather just get a full night’s sleep than rely on caffeine, some nights I just can’t tear myself away from my screen and need caffeine in the morning. I’ve been reaching for these energy shots when I’m not feeling coffee and they seem to work well! I’m prone to caffeine jitters but had no issues with these. One shot has 180mg of organic caffeine and 180mg of L-Theanine, both of which are derived from green tea. It also has way less sugar/weird stuff than your usual canned energy drink, and is gluten-free and vegan. That being said, it’s quite bitter, so I find myself chugging it down as a shot instead of sipping it. If that doesn’t bother you and you’re looking for something to provide quick energy, this is worth checking out!
Outward Hound Fun Feeder Dog Bowl – My dog, Davey, has a habit of scarfing his food down so fast I wonder if he even tastes it. Beyond that, though, I read that dogs who eat too fast can be prone to bloat and gastrointestinal distress, so I bought this bowl in an effort to slow him down a bit. He’s used it a few times, but it’s kind of sad to watch. I can see him getting frustrated with it, and by the 5 minute mark, he’s flipped it over and pushes it around until the food is all gone. Will continue using this for now, but might get one that’s a little easier for him to navigate!
*Not pictured but probably worth mentioning: LOTS of hand sanitizer. Bought a couple bulk bottles for the office, as well as small purse-friendly sizes for friends and family. I’ll be flying to NY this week for work and will definitely be sanitizing everything in sight. 🙁 Stay safe out there!
