Hi guys! I thought it would be fun to start a new series called “What I Bought Last Week” which is exactly what it sounds like, lol. Part voyeurism, part just-for-fun, mostly just me sharing the things I’m adding to my life, be it fashion-related or not! Let me know if this type of post is something you’re into! 😀
Samsung Tab A 10.1 128GB – Picked up this budget-friendly tablet as a gift for Thanh for Valentine’s Day! He’s an Android user and would probably just use the tablet for watching videos, reading e-books, and the like, so this was an easy gift idea. I’m really impressed with the video and sound quality for the price! Also, if you’re old school, it still has a headphone jack, which most new tablets don’t have anymore!
Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask – Another gift! My sister and I are both diehard Drunk Elephant devotees (my favorites are the Sukari BabyFacial and Glycolic Night Serum, her faves are the B-Hydra Serum and C-Firma Serum), so when DE launched their F-Balm Waterfacial Mask, I figured it would be the perfect pick-me-up for my sister. Her review so far is that it’s really good–you can use it a an overnight mask and it’s absorbed by morning!
Miranda Frye Erin Bracelet – I fell in love with the Monica Vinader Alta bracelet over the holidays but couldn’t bite the bullet with that $450 price tag. I was also super iffy whether or not the Alta would fit my large wrists, so when I saw that a similar style from Miranda Frye for less than 1/4 of the price AND adjustable up to 8″ in length, it was a no-brainer. I don’t have a promo code, but my girl Alex from Learning to be Fearless does! Use code FEARLESS at checkout for 10% off!
Leather Hole Punch Set – I love wearing crossbody bags, but being plus size and relatively tall at 5’7″, my bag straps are often just a little bit too short. I found that adding my own holes to an adjustable strap is an easy fix with this leather hole punch! Would work perfectly for adding holes to belts that are a little too large or small, as well.
12′ x 6′ GorillaMat Exercise Mat – Our office building has a decently-sized, unused room with low-pile carpet that we’ve talked about converting into a simple gym for employees. Finally taking the plunge and ordered two of these mats for the space. Will be adding some basic equipment and mounting a TV for workout videos/YouTube. They also come in smaller sizes if you’re interested in something similar for home. Post-work yoga, anyone?
Megababe Deodorant in Beachy Pits and Soapy Pits – After using traditional deodorant and aluminum-based antiperspirant for decades (we’re talking since high school), I thought it was time to switch to something a with cleaner ingredients. I’ve been using Megababe’s Rosy Pits for well over a month and I love how it functions. I’m all for a non-floral scent however, so when I saw that Megababe released a Beachy scent and a Soapy scent, I ordered them both. Beachy Pits smells just like Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, so if you’re into Soleil Blanc, definitely check it out! I’ve also since converted both Thanh and my male coworker to Soapy Pits, which is the perfect fresh scent that doesn’t feel too overtly “feminine.”
Megababe Body Dust – I also picked up the Megababe’s Body Dust, which is just the large version of Megababe’s Bust Dust. I haven’t used it for keeping away boob sweat, but it works perfectly for preventing stickiness and sweat drips post-fake tan! I used to get streakiness around my elbow-pits and behind the knees due to sweat, but applying a layer of this powder after applying self tanner fixes that!
