A structured but drapey jacket and tailored pencil skirt are perfect for transitioning from work to date night!
Between working full time, blogging, Castle marathons, and taking care of the dog (Davey’s kind of high maintenance, guys), making time for fun date night activities can be difficult! One of my favorite times to hang out with the BF though, is right after work–we’re already out, and it’s easiest just to head straight out for a bite to eat or a movie!
I wouldn’t normally consider my workwear good for a night out, but this look is the perfect medium! The gorgeous burgundy jacket is professional but pretty, and the pencil skirt is super tailored, keeping it from feeling too stuff or boring. Swapping my usual carry-everything tote for a jeweled clutch and my plain black heels for something with a little more texture and pattern turns a workwear look into something a little more date night appropriate!

This jacket is so beautiful! I love the drapy cut, yet it has some structure to it. And the color, well don't get me started!
I had to laugh when you mentioned Castle marathons. Me and the hubby do the same thing and although Davey and Luke are clearly not brothers, I think they were cut from the same cloth. I honestly feel like I have a child in the house, but he is so worth it.
I hope all is going well with you and hope to see you again soon!

You know, I think you have my favorite blogs out there. There are so many curvy girl blogs, yet surprisingly a lot of their pieces or suggestions cost a fortune, yours has a nice variety being on the more affordable end.
Has anyone seen a replica of this Jacket somewhere else? Their stock is dwindling and size is out for me.

Very cute jacket, look great on you.

I just stumbled across this post and realized itโs a bit old so do you know if anyone else has a jacket like this!
CurvyGirlChic
Yep!! Torrid has something similar right now! I think if you google “waterfall blazer plus size” a few options should pop up! ๐
