It’s finally chilly here! FINALLY. You guys have no idea how excited I am to be wearing my coats and jackets again! The newest coat addition to my wardrobe (and one I’ve been dying to share with you!) is this plaid coat from River Island. It’s a lovely, heavy material so it’s great for colder climates, too! I adore the shawl collar, and the robe-style tie belt around the waist. Checked and plaid coats are also super on trend for the season, so I feel like this is a great, classic piece that is also fashion-forward at the same time! If you’re in the market for new outerwear, I wholeheartedly recommend this one!
I opted for a pop of color with this amber-y, mustard yellow skirt from Forever 21+. I now own this exact skirt in three shades and am keeping an eye out for more colors! I saw that I missed out on a dusty pink version and I’m so gutted. T_T It’s super versatile and budget-friendly as well, so I definitely want to stock up on more! (You can see how I last styled this skirt in this post.) I grabbed a past season graphic T from H&M (but any old white tee would work), and slipped on my wide fit sock boots from ASOS to top off the look. If you’re in a chillier area, some black tights would do wonders for making this look a bit more cold weather appropriate!
I’m still on the hunt for a similar pair of boots but with a pointed toe, so if you guys know of a pair, let me know! 🙂

I don’t understand those outfits with boots, coat but no tights! If it’s cold enough for coat, isn’t it to cold for bare legs? Or, it might be that in your kind of climate, one would use every opportunity to wear a coat? As opposed to me, who would freeze for a month and then bring out the coats. I think I might be a bit jealous. Ok, I’m a lot jealous. At the time, skirt is paired with woolen tights only, two of them whenever a stroll is involved. Daylight is down to four hours. I so wish I could go outside without the hassle of outer wear. Not even leopard print scarves is fun anymore. I want birdsong. Flowers. Daylight. Dry pavements! But I do find some comfort in your pretty pictures and good outfits. You’re a great inspiration, and you have such a good eye for colour. Just four more months. Four more.
