Guys, I’m SO excited to announce the launch of a new plus size brand, SONCY! According to Merriam-Webster, soncy means “lucky; fortunate; thriving; plump” and if that isn’t my fashion mood at the moment, I don’t know what is!
SONCY carries some seriously cute pieces (I’m dying over this striped two-piece set) and has a fantastic size range, especially for a brand that is just launching. All styles are carried in a size range of 00X to 6X, or the equivalent of a size 10 to a size 30! I’m wearing a size 2X (equivalent to an 18/20) in most of my pieces, so I definitely found them true to size. 🙂 Another reason I’m so geeked about their size inclusivity is because they use a diverse range of model sizes, rather than sticking to the standard size 14/16 plus size model! Additionally, each product page provides size information of the model wearing the item, to give you the best possible idea of how it will fit your body. Love this!
The aesthetic of the brand is fashion-forward and trendy, with both ladylike pieces and street wear thrown in for good measure. I’ve tried on five or six pieces so far and have been impressed with the quality, especially given the fact that nothing is over $100! I didn’t have any issues with fraying seams or stray threads, and I found the fit to be on point.
Of all the pieces I’ve tried, this two-piece striped set has to be my favorite! I’m different sizes on top and bottom, so I’ve never really found a jumpsuit that works for my body type. I love that this set gives me the same vibe without the sizing issues! It’s also the perfect weight fabric for summer weather, and I feel like it would be A LOOK for a day on my imaginary yacht, LOL. I plan on styling the top with a high waisted skirt to mix things up, and the pants with an off the shoulder white top for another casual take on a nautical look. I think the pants would make for a great poolside cover up, too!

I styled another SONCY piece in the look below–this ruffled crop top is so extra and dramatic and flamenco-y and I’m definitely not mad at it. I paired it with a high-waisted skirt from my own closet and opted to tie it in the back with a bow instead of wrapping it all the way back around. I kind of love how the bow looks in the back!
