I don’t usually write much on plus size fashion news, but think this is definitely worth sharing…
H&M+ has finally launched in the US!
H&M’s BIB (Big is Beautiful) line was recently revamped to HM+ and launched in the US! The line will include styles in sizes 14-24, and only be carried in select stores. (EDIT* You CAN in fact search online which stores will have it! Their store locator has a dropdown where you can filter which categories you want to search for.) I’m also expecting it to be available online when their US online shopping website launches in the fall.
In their own words, “Following the success of last yearβs Inclusive collection, H&M was inspired to extend parts of the main line to include all sizes. So this Spring, H&M+ makes its debut β bright, colorful and stylish pieces that go effortlessly with your everyday wardrobe. Some of our favorite items include a silky color-blocked pink blouse, striped tunics and a versatile navy parka. With H&M+, we want to celebrate every confident and fashionable woman around the world!”
Here a few items that H&M has indicated will be included in their plus size line:

How did you find out if stores close to you would carry the line?
CurvyGirlChic
I had to call each store individually and ask. π Their website doesn't have it as a search option yet. =/

A few months ago a manager at H&M told me that the line was going to be at my local store. I bug them regularly about it now until I see it.
CurvyGirlChic
That's awesome! At least it'll be easy for you to get to! I have to go way out to check it out. Going anyways though! haha If your manager knew about it so early on, you probably already have it in store?? Let me know what you think if you go see it! π

Actually, when I heard H&M was going to have their plus size line in selected stores, I went to search on their site. There's only 3 H&M that I know of in the state I live in and one of them has the line. Contrary to what you said, that H&M store is located in one of the busiest malls.
If you go to the store locator link, search your state and a map pops up with the filter. Click ladies and you see the different lines in the drop down. HM+ is included in there.
CurvyGirlChic
Thanks for the tip on the search! I didn't realize you can click the "ladies" to filter down further! Super helpful.
I don't get how they choose which stores will carry the line. The 5 stores closest to me have INSANE amounts of traffic, and they're located in extremely affluent areas. The only one that's carrying it is about 45 minutes away and is busy as well, but more like an Outlet/discount mall. I see that happen with Forever21+ too. One can make assumptions about their reasoning for it, but I don't exactly like the conclusion that leads to.

I have the same experience as g.yang when it comes to both Forever 21 and H&M's plus size lines… it is in their busiest stores in Chicago.

So sad this is only in the US – Canada always gets the shaft! sigh.
CurvyGirlChic
π booo, that's such a bummer! =/ that calls for…a shopping roadtrip?! π

Oh my goodness. You just made my day! I live near one so I'm going to go check it out tomorrow since I'll be in that area anyway. I'll let you know how it goes!
…now if only we could get an ASOScurve to come our way…

I caught a glimpse of this at my local H&M (Downtown Crossing in Boston) last night! It was right before closing, so I only got a peek. They had colored denim, a few suiting pieces, some flowy shirts and dresses, and some basics. I'm going back on Sunday to try on some stuff! I can usually wear their size large shirts and A line dresses but I can never wear their pants and fitted skirts, so I'm most excited about those:)

I was going to say the same thing. The H&M in the Pallisades Mall had a plus sized section and then one day it was just gone. I'm ecstatic it's back. I'll be visiting my local store tomorrow.

We have this in Madrid (Spain). It's not very much different to their usual BIB stuff, however, I have noticed that the price of their blouses have come down in their plus size section and is more in tune with their "straight size" blouses, which enticed me purchase a few things much more readily that I used to. It always really bothered me that they put the prices up on the plus size clothes, even if it was exactly the same garment as one in their "regular" sizes line. It literally stopped me from purchasing lots of stuff I really liked. It just felt so unfair of them. Am I being fined by a clothes shop for being fat!? How dare they!!! Anyway, I look froward to seeing your review of their stuff – if that's what you do next π

Hi! Since I live in Europe, I have had the advantage of BIB for a long time! I recently bought that pink/camel t-shirt blouse for spring! Its is super cute and hique! Ive also seen thee parka, and lets just say, HM could have done better! What I think is a shame is how they think "big" has no shape, so sometimes they produce baggy clothes without any shape, witch only would look good if you wanted to dress up as a potato bag for halloween.just saying.Happy shopping! *Flaunt your curves girls!*

I'll have to wait until I visit home or until the site launches this fall as I don't have an H&M in my city.

I did not know about this, so, thank you for sharing!
I have been looking for a pair of colored jeans that isn't insanely tight in the calves, so, I am definitely going to have to try checking it out.

To be honest, it was a big disappointment in Chicago. I'm going to write a post about it later.

Bummer! The nearest H&M+ is a little over an hour and half from me. Maybe they will see the success that Forever 21+ is having and move the H&M BiB line to some of their bigger market stores? :::fingers crossed::: they would certainly get a lot more money out of me!

I just called south coast plaza, in costa mesa California. They advised me it will only be 2 stores, one in Chicago and one in New York. I am so sad!!! So you ladies in those areas do lots of shopping so it comes this way!
CurvyGirlChic
Nicole, they lied! lol. It's available in Ontario Mills and Culver City! <3
Nicole
omg!! I will make a trip too Ontario, thats not too bad without traffic! Is it already there???

I checked out the Culver City store in Southern California on Saturday. Not only did they have the line they had a sign out at the entrance announcing it. Yes, its a small section but its a start. I'm hoping it will expand like Forever 21 did.
I found it both more classic and much better quality than F21. I did leave with two tops so I'm happy.

Oh I really hope it's available in the stores here near Detroit. I've liked their clothes for a while now but of course I couldn't fit them. I also hope their sizes have a good range. I know it won't be the same as a strictly plus size store but give me some (literal) room!!
via, the lost.
I hope they're going to launch a plus store in the Atlanta area. I can't seem to find it on the H&M locator π

There are only two stores in my entire state right now and one of them is suppose to have the line. I just wish the store wasn't two hours away! I plan on calling just to make sure they have some items in and maybe going some time this week to check on the fit! I've never shopped there and I don't know of anyone who knows how the clothing for plus fits. Hopefully when the online ordering is launched, the plus line will be available for purchase.

I have never shopped at H&M, when looking at their clothes online and the sizes even the largest sizes I wasn't sure they would fit me (a curvy girl). Now with this new line, I might have to go check them out. Let's hope they have them here in the Atlanta store.

They had the collection in the 34th street store (nyc) when I passed by today. I must say, I am not impressed. They don't have anything I haven't seen before from the other plus size retailers. The only things I sorta liked were the color block blouse (pink or black and white version) and the colored capris. But, when i tried it on (I have a very hourglass shape)the blouse was too tight on my chest area and gave me no shape. Boooo π I could probably use the material for a pillowcase tho…Sooooo, this collection so far has absolutely no SWAG. 1 word to sum it up…wack.

I thought the same thing, too boxy.

I am so super duper immensly jealous that we do not have h&m here (in Aus) booo x

It is so frustrating when you get so excited for the launch of something and then learn you STILL have to buy it online, anyway – or trek to get it. I like H&M but rarely visit the BIB range here in London. I look forward to hearing how your trek goes! x.

I will look forward on more of your collection soon. I will be waiting for this. I expect that there will be lots of collections soon to be posted here.
