This post is in collaboration with my friends at Lane Bryant. As always all statements and opinions are my own!
It may not be anywhere near cold enough for me to wear this look yet, but what can I say? Dress for the weather you want, not for the weather you have! …I’m kidding. Kind of. 😛 Blame it on the nonstop holiday movies about big city girls getting stranded in small towns and falling in love with flannel-clad Christmas tree farm owners, but I reeeeally want it to be cold enough to wear this super cozy look, so here we are!
This cozy neutral look is head-to-toe from my faves at Lane Bryant, and it’s honestly perfect if you live somewhere cold or snowy! As someone who used to live somewhere with blizzards, I can attest that this coat/sweater combo is perfect for warding off the cold while still looking cute! Add some gloves and a scarf and you’ll be extra toasty. Plus, this teddy coat is so adorable and versatile–way more fun than a plain black coat!
This faux suede skirt is insanely soft and well made, and is actually cut for fuller hips, so it’s a perfect fit at the waist but a tad big on me through the hips. I opted for some sheer tights to go with the skirt–these have the slightest bit of shimmer/sheen to them, which I love! These ankle boots are perfect for cold weather as the chunky sole has great traction, and are wide enough to fit a thick pair of socks into. I finished off the look with a gorgeous tortoise and gold chain link bracelet and a pom pom beanie that I literally wore for 10 minutes only because it was too warm, but I still think the look is adorable without it. 🙂
Outfit Details: Lane Bryant teddy coat (wearing 18/20–true to size, maybe a half size large) :: Lane Bryant cable knit sweater (wearing size 18/20–runs a bit oversized but I think it’s meant to be worn like that) :: Lane Bryant faux suede skirt (wearing size 16–true to size) :: Lane Bryant faux suede ankle boots (wearing size 10W. LB shoes tend to run about a half to full size larger than other brands. I typically wear an 11W.) :: Lane Bryant beanie :: Lane Bryant shimmer tights (true to size) :: Lane Bryant chunky bracelet ::
