I think the entire blogosphere was excited when Blair Eadie announced that she was designing a collection with Halogen, Nordstrom’s in-house brand! I, of course, set my alarm to launch time and shopped like a woman who would never shop again. My only gripe is that the Atlantic Pacific x Halogen collection was advertised as being size inclusive, but not every piece came in plus. In fact, quite a number of key pieces didn’t! Regardless, I still spent way more than I meant to, and I’m really pleased with a lot of it!
This colorful turtleneck was one of the standout pieces from the Atlantic Pacific x Halogen collection, and I’m so glad I snagged it! I’m wearing a size 2X and I find it pretty true to size. It’s meant to sit just a touch wide on the body, which is great if you’re like me and loathe clingy sweaters! haha I love love love the color combination here–it’s so fun but also adult enough where you don’t feel childish in it. I can’t wait to pair this with a bright coat–I feel like it would look amazing under a light pink or pink green coat! Since it isn’t that cold yet, I opted to pair it with my new jeans from Mott & Bow, a direct-to-consumer denim brand that just extended their size range! The fit is really nice, though a bit stiffer/less stretchy through the thighs/hips than I anticipated. It broke in nicely during the day though! The only thing I would have loved more is a skinnier cut through the ankle–I like my jeans to be second skin and these were on the looser side. That’s just a matter of preference though, so if that’s the kind of cut you like, definitely check these out! Really hoping Mott & Bow extends their sizing on the rest of their selection–they have some gorgeous cashmere sweaters I have my eye on!
To play off the brown in the sweater, I paired the look with a pair of brown riding boots–these are from last year, but are still available in black and charcoal online! Since the brown is out of stock, I linked a similar brown, wide calf option below! 🙂

I wish I could wear turtlenecks as well as you!

I totally don’t wear them that well! I always make them as short as possible since I have a short neck hahaha. Definitely try a couple different styles to see which one works best for you!

Hmm, I don’t know. Even when I wear a high crew necked shirt I look like a turtle!
