Making white and florals work for winter with a leather jacket and lace up heels!
(Also, scroll all the way down the post to meet the newest member of the family! :D)
While the east coast is seemingly buried in snow, we’ve had unseasonably warm weather for January here in California! Not to gloat, but we’re supposed to be mid to upper 70’s all of next week. (Okay, maybe I’m gloating a little.)
I’m legit the worst at waiting to post things until they’ve sold out, but this printed pencil skirt from Eloquii is a recent favorite of mine! It’s structured and stretchy, and the print is to die for. There is even a slit that zips up or down making this skirt the perfect piece for transitioning from work to play! While this one is no longer available, they have a ton of other similar pencil skirt options here!
The white pieces in my closet don’t really get a break during the winter–I feel like a leather jacket is enough to make the hue cool-weather appropriate!

In case you haven’t seen him plastered all over my instagram, meet Davey, aka Spiderman Dog! We adopted him about a month ago from The Little Red Dog Rescue, which had scooped him up from a shelter just hours before he was going to be euthanized. They didn’t know much about his history (he was just wandering the streets as a stray), but he’s the sweetest, spunkiest, doesn’t-want-to-go-outside-in-the-cold, wants-belly-rubs-all-day-every-day, eats-everything-in-sight-including-wood-chips-and-lint, little dog. If you’re thinking about getting a dog, I highly recommend adopting! Any dog will be a lot of work (so much more than I expected, actually) but adopting saves lives, and your new furry friend will be eternally grateful!
Have any of you adopted pets? I want to know about your fur babies!!!

Love your poutfit, the shoes, oh the shoes ๐
Thank you!! ๐ ๐
Ahhhh, I kept wavering on that Eloquii botanical skirt after seeing it all over the blogs. It looks lovely with your leather jacket! Green and black is such a good colour combo.
I'm Canadian: our dollar is so very weak these days that ordering from US stores is quite prohibitive…
Thank you! ๐ I definitely recommend getting it–it's so much more versatile than I thought it would be! I don't mean to be an enabler, but it's a good investment! ๐ hehehe
Beautiful cut out sandals!
